Fire Island Pines: A Serene Yet Vibrant Summer Escape
Fire Island Pines is where beachside serenity meets bold summer energy. With its iconic queer history, stylish boardwalks, and a scene that blends laid-back days with lively nights, the Pines offers a one-of-a-kind escape just across the bay.

Where to Shop in Fire Island Pines
TOLA is a chic little boutique near the harbor. Here, you’ll find a thoughtful mix of gifts, jewelry, candles, and beachy clothes. It’s the perfect spot for finding something cute before dinner or grabbing a unique souvenir.
This is the main grocery store in the Pines, and it has everything you need. You’ll find fresh produce, snacks, and sandwiches for your weekend essentials. Don't forget to try their iconic homemade chocolate chip cookies. They are stacked in a jar right by the checkout and are a local favorite for a reason.
Located next to the Pantry, the liquor shop carries a variety of wines, spirits, canned cocktails, and mixers. It’s quick, convenient, and perfect for getting ready before heading to a party or hosting your own.
Camp (Flowers & Hardware)
Camp is part flower shop, part hardware store, and all charm. Whether you need a lightbulb or a bouquet, it's one of those places that surprises you every time you walk in.
This new addition by the harbor offers local merchandise, queer-made goods, and even soft-serve ice cream! It’s a fun spot to stop by, whether you want something to wear to tea or a cone to cool down on a hot day.

Where to Eat in Fire Island Pines
Blue Whale is a beloved institution in the Pines. It’s where brunch turns into cocktails and cocktails into Low Tea. The stunning harbor views, especially at sunset, add to the magic, along with the piano nights. You’re likely to find yourself here more than once.
Pines Pizza
If you’re in the mood for something easy and delicious, Pines Pizza is the place to go. Located by the harbor, it’s always buzzing. The slices are generous, salads are fresh, and the deck is an ideal spot to enjoy a drink while watching the day unfold. It’s casual and inviting.
When you're looking for a proper dinner, the Bistro is the place to be. It boasts a cozy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Their strong martinis and crowd-pleasing menu make it a favorite. Open year-round, it serves both summer guests and off-season regulars.
Canteen
Canteen is conveniently located right by the ferry dock. It keeps things simple and delicious. Whether you require a breakfast sandwich, something quick between events, or fries after a night out, it’s a reliable spot. No reservations are needed; just order and enjoy.

Clubs & Nightlife
Pavilion
The Pavilion is the main event. This dance floor is the ultimate destination in the Pines. With DJs spinning well into the night, it has an energetic crowd that’s ready for anything. The open-air setting and lively atmosphere make it a must-visit.
A little more casual but just as iconic, Sip N Twirl is perfect for kicking off your night. Grab a famous frozen Punch drink, chat with friends under the twinkling lights, and hit the dance floor when the music picks up.
The Pool Deck at The Tryst (Coming Soon)
This will soon be your go-to day destination. Lounge by the pool with a cocktail, enjoy a live DJ, or simply people-watch. It’s one of the best spots to soak up the energy of the Pines under the sun.
